Estrons share new video for ‘Lilac’ and drop some UK Dates!

Welsh trio Estrons have delivered a short snappy video for their banger of a tune ‘Lilac’ and it complimants the song perfectly! The track received Track of the Week by Huw Stephens, which he loved so much he played it back to back.

Lead singer Tali Källström had this to say about the video:

“The Lilac video is a short and honest representation of how it feels in those dark moments at the end of a stressful night out. The protagonist fleets between anger and laughter whilst spinning in a vortex of her own mad moment. It’s a simple insight into the human psyche when things aren’t going too well.”

As well as this the band have planned themselves a very busy second part of the year with dates running up until December, with them travelling all over the UK playing some great venues. With their head firmly stuck in the studio to complete their second album, Blaenavon have decided it would be nice to pop out for a little UK Tour this Autumn. This will be the bands first tour since Winter 2017 so you can gurantee they’ll be chomping at the bit at these shows!

Tickets priced at £10.00 are on sale Thursday 12th July at 10am, available from www.blaenavon.com.

EXCLUSIVE | Palava to Release New Song ‘White Denim’ This Friday!

Palava - White Denim

Palava showcase new song ‘White Denim’

This Friday will see the release of Palava’s latest track ‘White Denim’. December last year the band gained Single of the Week with their track ‘Sometimes (I Wonder)’, and I get the feeling that this song will do the same this Sunday.

The track boasts some driving guitars with cracked vocals, giving off a very edgy tone. Sleek and tight drums beats gives the song that snap, which lends itself well to the punchy chorus. Palava have that classic 00’s indie feel which is a sounds that is slowly becoming lost, however they are making great efforts to fly that flag with this track.

The launch party will be taking place at The Castle Hotel, Manchester on June 22nd. Get your tickets here.

After the shocking news which the band shared earlier this month regarding their upcoming tour, and the awful record company that were looking after them (not giving them any acknowledgement), it looks as though the band are back on track with this release.

Looking forward to see what PALAVA do the second part of 2018, as it’s looking very promising.

Indoor Pets confirm their Debut Album!

Indoor Pets - Phoebe Fox

Indoor Pets finally promise a Debut Album!

After a few years of teasing and joking about an album, Indoor Pets (Formerly Get Inuit) have finally promised a debut Album! After speaking to DORK frontman Jamie Glass admitted he can’t even be coy about it anymore, it’s happening.

This comes after the news of the band signing to Wichita Records, who signed The Cribs, Bloc Party and Fidlar. Of course this plays a huge part because as Jamie said in his interview, this is their job now and first on their to do list is an album.

The band released ‘So Soon’ earlier this year, but since then they’ve been busy playing shows all around the UK.  Hopefully they will go into the studio off the momentum of playing live and carry that into their release.

It’s crazy to think the band haven’t got an album because of their impressive song catalog, but with all of the experience it could shape up to be one of the best albums of the Year when released. It’s a relief it’s finally happening, as it should give Jamie something to do rather than sit on Twitter and post pictures of Sue Perkins.

The Blinders Announce Debut Album ‘Columbia’

The blinders

Doncaster Trio announce Debut Album to be released in September

Since the start of the Year The Blinders have been in fine form releasing two great tracks with ‘Gotta Get Though‘ & ”L’Etat C’est Moi‘ while tearing it up on every live show.

Yesterday the band announced their debut album Columbia will be released on September 21st, which has got a lot of people excited.

Their post to announce the album read:

We welcome you to an alternate world informed by reality, Indulge in the drudgery, under an absolute autocracy.

Echoes of Johnny’s Dreams run through the Codeine Scene streets, as The Man stalks his prey and hunts for his meat.

The party will serve to subdue and neglect. It’s a Brave New World. What did you expect?

Know your place and serve your time, Roll of Thunder, Hear Our Cries. Freedom is Slavery and Peace is a Lie, You’re Never Gonna Escape From That Watching Eye.

Welcome to Columbia. You are being observed.

After their incredible releases so far I’m expecting a lot from this album, and I’m pretty confident that The Blinders will give everyone what they’re expecting.

If you pre-order the album then you will be able to get your hands on presale tickets of their UK tour in Autumn, which would be highly recommended.

The Magic Gang Q and A!

The Magic Gang Album

The Magic Gang invited their fans to ask them anything!

The Magic Gang had some spare time and invited their loyal and devoted fans to ask them anything using the Hashtag #askthemagicgang. Unluckily I was at work while this took place so I missed it, however I decided to round up some the best answers and put them on show.

They confessed that Ought’s album ‘Room Inside the World’ was their favourite record so far in 2018.

The quote they live by is one from ex-Spurs Manager Harry Redknapp.

They favourite Oasis track was ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out‘ didn’t expect that one.

It was great to read that their favourite Smiths record was the same as everybody else’s

Being a Birmingham based person it was interesting to read that they actually like the accent. Surely that’s sarcasm at its finest!

They gave a great insight into Aldi, probably one of the best questions of the Q and A.

Finally if this is true and that’s where The Magic Gang name came from, I need the idea to happen.

Those are just a few of the great answers that the lads gave, well worth checking out the entire Q and A on their Twitter!

Flight Of The Conchords Postpone second half of UK Tour

Flight Of The Conchord’s Bret McKenzie Injury causes the duo to cancel upcoming shows

Yes unfortunately after a few years on hiatus, a few more sold out crowds will have to wait a bit longer to see their favourite music-comedy duo. The super talented Bret Mckenzie announced yesterday that he had broken two bones in his hand, which he himself joked was “Very Rock n Roll” as this was caused by him falling down the stairs.

The likes of Birmingham, Glasgow, Dublin and Leeds will have to wait patiently while Bret heals up. However there’s plenty of things to do up until then, like watch the series continuously until the new date for the show arrives.

Don’t worry I know you’re not crying, It’s just been raining. On your face.
