Intro

This post has been a long time coming, been in contact with this band for a while but because of how busty I’ve been I’ve just got round to it, THE INDIEANNAS. This is a band coming from Buxton, and are a four piece who play Indie/rock Dance, confusing, but when you listen to it you’ll realize how this genre of music is achieved.  Having already played The Cavern, Y NOT Festival ( alongside Reverend and the makers and The Pigeon Detectives) and many more venues the band have built up quite a reputation. In the band you have,

Lead singer and Rhythm Guitarist –  Ged Potts

Lead Guitarist – Charlie Willcox

Bass Guitar – Mark Whibberley

Drummer – Jon Stone.

Flying High

Before I start writing about the song, you should check out the B-side to this which you can get as a free download on their website, worth a listen before you carry on.

‘Flying High’ is one of those songs that just makes you appreciate proper bands, because it has every element of what’s important in this song. First of all the riff is undeniably catchy,  and the drums support the riff incredibly well. As well as this the song has attitude behind it, I could honestly see this song being played a big gigs at the crowd just going for it. It’s a very well produced song, especially shown with the effects with the vocals that made them that bit better, because I would imagine they’re pretty good anyway. The song breaks down into a small interlude in the middle of it, but it doesn’t drop that tempo, they keep it interesting with a flawless guitar solo, I’d love to hear that mini guitar solo played live, because It would sound big, very good work from the lead guitarist Charlie Wilcox in this song, brilliant. The song is released on 10th February so PRE – ORDER the song now at their website http://www.theindieannas.co.uk/fr_home.cfm , and also download the B – Side for it now!
